You want your digital photos online. Not just scattered in folders, but organized. Web photo albums do just that. Organize and edit your photos and share the entire content with friends and family. Of course, many online photo services offer this functionality out of the box. But sometimes you want to be in control. You want to build it yourself using a page builder.
Adobe Dreamweaver makes it incredibly easy. Just install the app. Fireworks 4 or newer helps, too. Here’s an easy way to create a web photo album using Dreamweaver.
Prepare the source image
First, gather your shots. Put them all in one folder. Keep it tidy. Dreamweaver needs to know what it’s working with. Make sure every image file has a standard extension. Look for:
- .gif
-.jpg - .jpeg
-.png
-.psd
-.tif - .tiff
If the extension is missing or invalid, the tool may ignore it. Don’t take risks.
Launch the Album Tool

Specify album information

In the Title box, type Title. Nothing is clear. “Summer trip 2023” work. You can add subtitles below the title line. If you need context, do this:
Next, find the text box Source Image Folder. Click the Browse button next to it. Go to your images folder. Select it.
You also need a place to print. Next to the Destination Folder text box, click Browse. This is where Dreamweaver saves the new files. If necessary, create a new folder here.

Select a format
Compression is important. File size is important.
Choose GIF or JPEG from the Thumbnail Format menu. In general, JPEG provides better compression for photos.
To see a larger image, go to the “Photo Format ” menu. Select GIF or JPEG again.
You can also set a Scale percentage for large images. If the original image is large, make it smaller. This prevents the page from getting corrupted.
Complement and generation
Last option. Do you want a separate page for each image? Enable Create navigation page for each photo. When you select this option, Dreamweaver creates a separate page for each image in the album. Add a page. Add texture. The load is increasing.
