Stop Paying For Hallmark Rom-Coms

Any month is fair game for a cheesy Hallmark movie.
Really.

When Hallmark and Peacock called it quits in 2025 things got complicated for the faithful. You wanted your festive meet-cutes and low-stakes mysteries? They went quiet.
But there is a workaround.

And it costs zero dollars.

The secret isn’t hidden behind a paywall.
It’s sitting at your local library.

The service is called Hoopla.
You probably haven’t heard of it, which is a shame. It streams more than just video—audiobooks, podcasts, educational docs—but let’s not get distracted.
You want love. Hallmark love.

Hoopla hosts the Hallmark Plus BingePass.

The entire library. Every series. Every movie.
With the BingePass, you borrow premium titles for seven days at a time. Ad-free. Cheap. (It’s free).

Need to catch up on Ride? Do it.
Falling behind on When Calls the Heart? Go ahead.

This is the loophole we needed.

Getting in takes two things:
1. An email address
2. A valid library card

That’s it.
Head to the Hoopla site or grab the app. Create an account. You might need to type in your card number and a PIN, so have the plastic close by. Don’t have a card yet? Most libraries let you sign up for one on the spot, online, or in person. It takes about five minutes.

Once you are set up, hunt down the Hallmark Plus option in the BingePass menu.

Start streaming.

Some branches don’t support Hoopla though.
It depends on where you live. Call them. Check their website. Don’t assume it’s there until you see the interface load.

If your library isn’t on board?
Or if you hate typing in card numbers?
There is Plan B.

Pluto TV.
It has a curated channel dedicated entirely to Hallmark content.
It’s less organized, sure.
But it exists.
And it’s free too.

Who needs Peacock anyway?
